Wooden Sleepers - a service-proven element in railway tracks Drucken
Produced from round logs of the best growing regions, based on national and international standards such as EN 13145 and UIC-Code No. 863.

Our contracting factories are all certified in accordance to DIN EN ISO 9001:2001. Production and treatment are subject to permanent quality observation.

DImpregnation is performed with the new, environmentally friendly and almost odourless creosote of type WEI-C under vacuum and pressure applying the "Rüping-system". We are also impregnating the sleepers with wood preserving salt with and without chrome.

Stages of Treatment: edging and drilling, planning of the complete upper surface of crossing timbers and mounting of the base plates for different types of tracks.

The optimal environmental compatibility of impregnated wooden sleepers is proven also in a study (ecological balance) provided by LCA in 2008.
We make this by the EMPA (Eidg. Materialprüfungs- und Forschungsanstalt) in Switzerland supervised study available when desired.

Recycling:

We will take back used and built-out railway sleepers and we will deliver them to a second use.
Those sleepers can be re-used in tracks of minor order.
At the end of timber sleeper’s lifetime, used old sleepers will disposed of in an environmentally sound way. An appropriate thermal utilization possibility exists.
